Viasat has partnered with The Australian National University, Northrop Grumman and Optus to develop a scholarship program to help students pursue degrees in STEAM fields.
Wearing bright purple shirts, clutching Viasat notebooks and high-fiving employee volunteers, they filed into Founder’s Hall. Viasat saw its highest employee participation rate ever during this year's National Volunteer Week. With over 1,000 hours volunteered and 391 participating employees, Viasat impacted its communities both domestically and abroad. Looking to make a difference, Viasat employees jumped in to help at 11 U.S. locations and two locations overseas. To encourage girls and young women to pursue careers in technology, Viasat partners with Denver's Girls in STEM organization.
Viasat is a major sponsor of the Festival of Science & Engineering, designed to engage kids and families in science and engineering. The March 3 event at Petco Park drew more than 20,000 kids and their families. Viasat also sponsored the March 10 Super STEM Saturday, held at California State University San Marcos. It drew more than 10,000 attendees.
